…ο Αιγέας έφυγε και η Αίθρα γέννησε το αγοράκι που αργότερα θα γινόταν όχι μόνο βασιλιάς της Αθήνας, αλλά και ο σπουδαιότερος ήρωάς της. Μεγάλωσε ειρηνικά στην Τροιζήνα κοντά στη μητέρα και το σοφό παππού του και σαν έγινε 16 χρονών, η Αίθρα τον οδήγησε στο βουνό, ακριβώς όπως τότε την είχε συμβουλέψει ο Αιγέας.
