Terms of use

The following terms and conditions exclusively cover any sale of products and/or services through the “Eshop” of “Mediterraneo” located on the website www.mediterraneo.gr (hereinafter the “site”).

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

The content of the “site” (including texts, graphics, images, photos, videos and software) is the intellectual property of “Mediterraneo” and is protected in accordance with the relevant provisions of Greek law, European law and international conventions. The intellectual property of third parties, other partners and entities, for which the “EShop” has received a license to use for its own exclusive needs, is excluded.

It is strictly prohibited to copy, reproduce, republish, transmit or otherwise use the content of any part of the “site” for commercial purposes without the written consent of the company.

The names, images, logos and distinctive features representing the “site” or “Mediterraneo” are the exclusive trademarks and distinctive features of “Mediterraneo” and/or the “site” and are protected by Greek Community and international trademark laws and intellectual property. Their appearance and exposure on the ” site ” should in no way be understood as a transfer or assignment of a license or right to use them.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The “Eshop” informs the customer based on the data of availability or non-availability of the products kept at each time and cannot under any circumstances guarantee their availability. In any case, the “Eshop” undertakes to inform the customer in time about the unavailability, so in this case too, it bears no further responsibility.

The “Eshop” also reserves the right to deliver the goods in cases of force majeure. If it is not possible to deliver the products within the predetermined time, the “Eshop” undertakes to inform the customer in time via email, in order for him/her to state the conditions for completing his order.

The “Eshop” bears no responsibility for any claims or damage due to a cause related to the operation or non-operation and/or use of the “site”, with the inability to provide services and/or information available from it, or from any unauthorized third-party interventions in products and/or services and/or information available through it.

The “Eshop” makes every effort to provide error-free pages, services and content, but cannot guarantee this.

The content of the “site” is provided “as is” without any warranty of any kind whatsoever. The “Eshop” does not guarantee the merchantability and suitability of the content for any purpose.

NEWSLETTERS

The newsletters that the visitor/user of the “site” receives by registering on the mailing lists are the intellectual property of “Mediterraneo” and are therefore protected by the relevant provisions of Greek legislation and international conventions. “Mediterraneo” reserves the right not to register a person in the recipient lists or to delete them from them. “Mediterraneo” can keep a record of the e-mail addresses of the recipients for the sending of other informational or financial messages in addition to the newsletters, unless the recipient does not wish to do so.

Mediterraneo is not responsible if the newsletters are not delivered to their destination, although we make every effort to deliver them. Newsletters may end up in the “Spam” folder. In the event that the user wishes to no longer receive informative newsletters or wishes to be completely deleted from the “site” newsletter sending system, he/she can inform “Mediterraneo” using the contact details listed on the “site” or through the corresponding link that appears in the informational emails he receives. “Mediterraneo” does not hand over to third parties information about name, surname, home address or other personal data.

USER REGISTRATION

User registration on the “site” is optional. Each customer registers only once.

The personal information provided by the user during registration is processed by the “Eshop” for the purpose of creating an account on the “site”, communicating with the user and sending him informative, advertising and promotional material related to the products and/or the services of the “Eshop”. Regarding the collection and processing of personal data, the terms and provisions of the Personal Data Protection Policy apply. The user has the possibility to withdraw his consent to the collection and processing of his personal data at any time, by deleting the user by sending a relevant email to the address info@mediterraneo.gr  

PAYMENT POLICY

The prices of the products listed in our online store are the final prices (including VAT). The “site” reserves the right to change prices without prior notification to the customer. Regardless of price fluctuations, the customer always pays the value indicated on the product at the time of completing the order.

SECURE TRANSACTIONS

The “Eshop” cooperates with Alpha Bank, a pioneer in the field of secure electronic transactions, so that it can guarantee the reliability and security of purchases through the “site”. All purchases of products or services made through the “site” are made in a secure manner through the electronic payment platform “Alpha e-Commerce” of Alpha Bank. “Alpha e-Commerce” uses TLS 1.1 encryption with 128 -bit encryption protocol (Secure Sockets Layer – SSL). Encryption is a way of encoding information until it reaches its intended recipient, who will be able to decode it using the appropriate key.

During the checkout process you will be forwarded to a website provided by Alpha Bank to enter your card details, which are then encrypted and sent to the bank that issued the card for debit approval. This information is not shared with any third party (not even the supplier of the product you are purchasing).

PAYMENT METHODS

The “eshop” allows payment in one of the following ways:

  1. By credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro)
  2. By PayPal
  3. By Bank Deposit

SHIPPING METHODS

The “Eshop” allows you to choose between the following shipping methods:

  1. By courier service
  2. With the Hellenic Post Office (ELTA)

Domestic shipments: Orders within Greece are delivered in 3 to 10 working days.

International shipments: Delivery of orders outside Greece can take from 5 working days to 2-3 weeks, depending on the shipping method chosen. The “Eshop” is not responsible for the payment of any additional charges that may arise from taxes and duties imposed by customs authorities in countries outside the European Union.

RETURN POLICY

The “Eshop” gives the customer the possibility to return defective products of his order within 30 days from the day he received it for a product replacement or a refund. Returns are only accepted if the items are returned in perfect condition in their packaging and accompanied by the proof of purchase. Returns are registered by sending an email to sales@mediterraneo.gr

Refunds will be credited to the debit or credit card with which the purchase was made. Refunds will be made within 30 days of receiving the products from our office.

In the case of any defect, the customer can notify the company either by phone (+30 28310 21440) or by e-mail (sales@mediterraneo.gr) stating the defect of the product.

Returns will be sent exclusively to:

USER RESPONSIBILITY

Users agree and undertake not to use the site to:

  1. send, post, email or otherwise transmit any content that is unlawful for any reason, causes unlawful offense and harm to “Mediterraneo” or any third party or invades the confidentiality or privacy of any person’s information;
  2. sending, publishing, sending by email or transmitting in other ways any content that offends users’ morals, social values, minors, etc.,
  3. upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any content that users do not have a right to transmit under the law or applicable agreements;
  4. post, post, email or otherwise transmit any content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary right of any third party;
  5. send, post, email or otherwise transmit any material that contains software viruses or any other codes, files or programs designed to interrupt, damage, destroy or tamper with the operation of any software or hardware computers,
  6. intentional or unintentional violation of applicable laws or regulations;
  7. harassing third parties in any way,
  8. collect or store personal data about other users;

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

The protection of the customer’s personal data is governed by the General Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data 2016/679/EU and in general the applicable national and European legislative and regulatory framework for the protection of personal data. ABOUT COOKIES

The “site” uses cookies (recognition traces) and other similar technologies, such as pixels tags, web beacons (tracking codes), clear GIFs (graphics interchange format), which are covered by the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 which comes into force from 25.05.2018 (GDPR). GOVERNING LAW – JURISDICTION

The use of the website and the sale agreement shall be ruled and interpreted according to the laws of Greece.

All disputes arising out of or in connection with the use of the website or the sale agreement if not amicably settled, shall be submitted to the Courts of Rethymnon.
