Description
Acrylic art object with separate acrylic transparent base that allows to place it upright. It can also be placed lying down as presse-papier! It presents an Anthemion, which was a floral design used on antefixes, consisting of lotus or palette leaf between two volutes. The antefix, known from ancient greek architecture, is a vertical tile terminating the tiles of the roof. Its face was richly decorated with the anthemion ornament. The protytype artwork of Mediterraneo is based on the antefix anthemion from a neoclassical building in Athens!
